Steph2Hi!  I’m Stephanie. I’m a 30 something year old with a love for exercise, food and finding happiness…but mostly food! ☺ I, like many women out there, have been through it all when it comes to diet and nutrition. I can remember going on Weight Watchers for the first time back in good old 6th grade. Since then I have done it all. Those random ‘diets’ you see in the “health” magazines, low carb, Paleo, low fat, low calorie, IIFYM, Jenny Craig, shall we continue or just call it quits here 🙂 Needless to say, I came to a point where I felt out of control, depleted, let down, helpless and like a weird version of myself that I no longer recognized.

As of Spring 2014, I officially decided that I had had ENOUGH of the rules and the tracking and the restriction and the binging and the never-ending cycle that I had created for myself. I wanted out. Deep down I KNEW there had to be an easier way to stop the obsessive thoughts and worries surrounding food and calories and macros and body image insecurities and I wanted, no, I needed to find it….so I started to research ways to become a “normal person” around food (very sophisticated Google search)..

I was lucky enough to stumble across some information on Intuitive Eating and I was hooked. This had to be the answer I had been searching for! My thoughts were all over the place; “what?!  A way of living and eating where foods weren’t “off limits” or “bad” or automatically going to make me fat?!? What does that mean?? You mean to tell me that the clock and scale have nothing to do with me making a decision of when and what and how much food to eat in a day? You mean to tell me I can actually free up brain space to think about other things than food – like hobbies, friendships, career advances and realizing and chasing life dreams??” I was captivated, I was hopeful…but mostly I was overwhelmed. The realization of how bad I had let it get really hit me when I started reading through Intuitive Eating and Mindful Eating books and really digging deep into my EMOTIONAL eating habits and started to think about actual life again. I realized the hole I had dug for myself was deeper than I thought and I was going to need some help through this. I then spent a month with an amazing Health Coach who helped me make some pretty solid progress. Even after this, I still felt like I needed more work and more support and decided to see a Counselor who helped me tackle these obstacles while also helping me learn how to seek out joy and figure out what truly makes me happy.  It’s through her support that I took the huge step towards fulfilling one of my hugest dreams – becoming a Health Coach so that I could help other women get out of the diet trap and INTO an amazing life!

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I can and will help you create a completely personalized roadmap to diet freedom that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.  It is my passion to use my journey to show other women that you are NOT alone and that taking back control of your relationship with food, your self and your life IS possible.  We only have one body and one life to live – it’s time to start LOVING yourself and your life.
