I Graduated! – What I Learned This Year…

Graduation

I Graduated!!

I’ts hard to believe that my year at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition is already over! Seems like just yesterday that I tuned in to my first lecture. I have learned so much this year about nutrition, coaching, business and unpardonably, MYSELF. I think that was the biggest shock for me this year – the amount of self-growth I underwent. Sure, I assumed there would be some self-growth along with all of the amazing lectures and speakers I was blessed to be apart of, but man did I learn a lot! While there were many lessons learned this year, I think the one that stood out to me the most was the importance of learning to live inwardly out instead of outwardly in.

What this means is learning to believe that I am enough. Learning to believe that I cannot and will not ever gain true satisfaction and happiness through living my life “outwardly” by trying to impress others, please others, and ultimately define my success and worth as a person through my outward ‘worldly’ and societal accomplishments. This will only bring feelings of defeat, lack of confidence, confusion and uncertainty.   I learned how to trust myself, listen to myself and believe in myself this year. I learned how to recognize fear for what it is, dissect it and then tackle it head on.

I’ve learned that everyone has their own special suitcase of “crap” they carry around with them from their past (or present) and that true transformative power and confidence comes when you can learn to USE that ‘crap’ to help others and craft it into passion and drive in your every day life. I’ve realized this year that I actually have an “intuition” and (to my surprise) it’s way more smart and rational than I am. I’ve learned to use this intuition to allow me to help others and to fine-tune my ‘game plan’ for my business. I’ve learned that while we cannot control the cards we are dealt in life, we can control the way we respond and the way we respond can be a very powerful tool in crafting the life we want.

And most importantly, I learned that I absolutely LOVE being able to help others learn these (and other) lessons for themselves. I love being able to be apart of my clients’ journeys to a more happy and fulfilled life. I love being able to use my story to speak into others’ confusion and ultimately feel so blessed to have the opportunity to help people fall in love with themselves again.

To celebrate my graduation, I’ve launched my NEW website! It is still a work in progress, but I felt there was no better time than now to launch it. I’m really excited to see what this next year has in store for myself and for my clients and I can’t wait to continue to connect with each and every one of you on here.

So tell me! What would you LOVE to see on my blog, website and newsletter? What topics intrigue you? Speaking of my newsletter…have you signed up?? If not, head over to my Home page and sign on up! Ok, that’s all for today.
